I just cant put my finger on why, but ToAU didn't resonate with me as well. I actually finished ToAU during the previous free period, and I.while I thought it started out exciting, I felt like it almost didn't go anywhere. But I'll save that for a "I finished the main story" breakdown when that day comes. Speaking of RoV, at this point that's my second favorite story of FFXI. Maybe if I get through RoV to get more bonus EXP so it goes super quick. I could level up another class I guess to a non iLvl 119. While I enjoyed the hell out of the story of ToAU, boss fights are easy mode. Not directly related to the expansion, but something I regret is leveling to 99 ASAP. To me that just made it easier to enjoy the story. By the middle of ToAU you can go everywhere pretty easily with warps. Maybe after so many dungeons and running around in CoP I was ready for something different. At this point, before playing WotG and Seekers, ToAU is my favorite story of FFXI. Almost immediately ToAU pulled me in and never let go. I will remember the characters, the story, and the big bads/bosses as if it were a normal Final Fantasy game. Treasures of Aht Urhgan is easily one of my favorite Final Fantasy stories of all time. Note: I did not do the "epilogue" nor did I do the CoP/Zilart "epilogue".
